DescriptionSnowboarders on Galashiels Golf Course - geograph.org.uk - 649308.jpg
English: Snowboarders on Galashiels Golf Course The steep uphill par four 10th hole on the course is being used by snowboarders after a decent fall of snow has produced ideal conditions. This chap is making his way up to the top of the hill for another run, while another boarder is commencing his run in the distance. I recall a number of years ago playing a round of golf here when there was a strip of snow running the full length of the dyke on the right and meeting a skier coming down. There can't be too many golf courses in the UK where that would happen. Sadly, after March 2008, holes 10 to 16 on the top part of the course will be made redundant due to a dwindling membership and a lack of young people taking up the game.
